Abscess, cancer, cyst, lipoma or tumor?
Here are some differences between terms used to describe
“masses” or “lumps” that may form in the body. Common
terms are abscess, cancer, cyst, and tumor.
•
Tumor – a mass of tissue or abnormal cellular growth. They
may be cancerous (malignant), or not (benign).
•
Cancer – a rapid cellular growth that may spread from one
part of the body to another.
• Cyst
– a closed sac filled with gas, liquid, or a semi solid.
They are usually not cancerous.
•
Lipoma – a benign growth filled with apidose (fat) cells
usually just beneath the skin.
•
Abscess – similar to a cyst but is filled with pus.

Mysti -
What oils work the best for
Fibromyalgia? I'm thinking a combo of
AromaTouch, Deep Blue and Balance. Any
thoughts?
Julie Ann - I have seen success by
starting off on the liver cleanse...1 drop Peppermint, 1drop
Lemon in 1 Tbsp of fresh lemon juice with approximately 2-3
ozs of water every morning FIRST thing. Your liver is
capable of 732 functions daily and with Fibromyalgia a toxic
liver is a sign of a toxic body. ASAP the LLW
program with the Aroma Touch oils and technique. I
then add a 40-minute detoxification bath using lavender,
wild orange or Serenity for the soothing aspect they bring.
If they will get the acidity out and alkalinity in, their
problems will ease and over time go away.
Chris -
I have not heard of this cleanse before. How long do you do
this?
Julie Ann - I have been doing it for
years. I had a very toxic liver with a pain in my upper
back which was not a backache. Come to find out it was
the pressure point for the liver. I had a test done
which showed my liver was extremely toxic with numbers off
the charts. I started on the liver cleanse and within 3
months my liver had improved over 700%. The doctor was
astounded. He said he had never seen such an
improvement and asked what was I doing? It was just this
simple liver cleanse. I have been in the natural field for
27 years and sometimes the simple things are the most
potent. The detoxification baths are absolutely vital
if someone is going to get well. The sicker they are
the more baths they take. I tell others to take one every
day if they have serious issues. I
myself did away with a breast tumor that was 3 inches long,
2 inches wide, and 2 1/2 inches deep in 8 weeks to the day I
started the daily detoxification baths and using the
essential oils on it.
Tahna - A
lipoma is a benign tumor composed of fatty tissue. Has
someone successfully "treated" one of these? If so, how?
Pat - Right now I know two people
taking the following oils with tumors:
Equal amounts of frankincense,
helichrysum, sandalwood and geranium. These are all
anti-tumor oils and I cannot tell you if it works
yet. One has a benign tumor on her thyroid, the other
has fibroid tumor on her ovaries.
They are also taking internally the lemon, melaleuca and
oregano blend that Dr. Hill recommended.
Kathy - Pat's protocol seems spot
on. I would have included grapefruit. Frankincense and
grapefruit neat twice daily. Eat good! No Soda!
Katz -
I recently developed a cyst the
size of a golf ball on the inside edge of my
breast. It was very sore and bruised looking
on the top. I put Wild Orange on it (mostly
because I craved the smell) and Frankincense
alternating. I had a friend look at it and
check the size so we could monitor what
would happen. I applied the oil twice a day,
neat, and in three weeks it was the size of
a grain of rice. Yea oils!
Vikki - There was a great testimonial on
cysts I heard last night. A lady from Seattle had a friend
who was going to be having surgery to remove a cyst.
Three
weeks before the surgery she gave her friend cypress, basil
and frankincense (I believe it was in a capsule) 2x a day,
then switched out the basil for oregano.. The lady went to
the doctor prior to surgery to locate the cyst by ultrasound
and they couldn't find it.
Marti - Does anyone
know what helps with a ganglion cyst? Thanks.
BK - I had 3 different cysts on
different parts of my body until recently. I never went to a
doctor and had them officially diagnosed. But I had friends
say that they were cysts, calcium deposits, bone spurs, or
bible bumps. I'm not sure, but I think these would also be
called ganglian cysts. I had one on my foot on my hand and
a small one that had barely started revealing itself on my
wrist. Here's what I did.
My foot spur was bothering me the most, so I started
using a blend of eucalyptus, marjoram, cypress, lavender
peppermint, thyme and basil. 5 drops each in an15ml bottle
then match the amount of essential oil with coconut oil. I
would rub this blend on my right foot every morning and
night. Without fail for 3 months. I had tried a similar mix
using oils from Young Living, but it never helped, so I
figured it wouldn't hurt to try doTerra oils. One day it
was strange, I realized that it was almost gone! It seemed
almost overnight or I just hadn't been paying attention.
Then I also realized that the bump on my hand and wrist
were completely gone!. No doubt, using the blend on my foot
everyday, also helped with the bumps on my hand and wrist.
I am also a huge doTERRA frankincense fan, and used it
often for massage for myself and my family, so I would
credit the frankincense for aiding in the blend as well. It
definitely wouldn't hurt to add frank to the blend. I hope
this helps. Do it daily or more. Be patient.
Amelia - I also have a sebaceous cyst
but it's on my inner wrist and I have been applying a
mixture of lemongrass, lavender and frankincense to it.
When I do apply these it goes away almost instantly but then
it returns and when it does I just apply the oils again. If
it were me I would put it in a carrier oil just because of
where the cyst is located and because it's for a
child...hope this is helpful...
LMD - Hello, Does
anyone have any information or success stories on Sebaceous
Cysts?
Suzy - My husband has these and has been
using frankincense. The ones that have not gone away
entirely, have shrunk by at least half their beginning size.
He just applies it every night before he goes to bed, after
his shower. He just tips the bottle onto his finger
and dabs each cyst.
Amelia - Yep frankincense...I have one on my wrist and I
just keep applying frankincense...and Balance for whatever
reason seems to make it go away even faster. Weird thing is
that mine has not totally gone away but when I use the
frankincense it immediately shrinks it...like it disappears
completely for a few hours or a day but then it comes back.
I just keep applying frankincense to it and I believe
eventually it'll disappear forever.

Help from Julia's Natural Kitchen
Abscesses are nature's way of
purifying the body, by bringing toxins and waste materials
all to one place, so that it can easily be drawn out. Pus is
formed by the loss of organic sulfur from the cells,
therefore herbs that contain organic sulfur, such a garlic,
can be used to rebuild and prevent this condition.
In general, the brighter and
tighter the redness, the smaller the abscess; the softer
feeling and darker colored, the larger the abscess. A thick
yellow pus is considered healthy, where a thin watery
greenish pus is considered infected and unhealthy.
Abscesses heal when the
discharge stops and the cavity of the abscess begins to
close.
According to Dr. J. Christopher “The
basic cause of all abscesses, tumors, cysts, etc., stems
back to an impure bloodstream, with its major cause being
improper food intake. This condition causes poor action of
liver and bowels, a faulty digestion, or disturbances in the
lymphatic glands are generally responsible for the
accumulation of impurities in the blood.”
Poultices will bring the abscess to
a head and clean it out.
A poultice made of 1 part
Lobelia and 3 parts Mullein is very effective in drawing out
the toxins as well as relieving pain
· A poultice made of hot
onions put directly over the abscessed area
Add a few drops of an
essential oil of choice to the poultice for added effect.
How to make a poultice:
Dried Herb Poultice
Grind dried herbs into a
powder with a mortar and pestle, and add enough warm water to
make a paste. The paste should be thick enough to be applied
to the affected area, but it shouldn't be stiff.
Spread the herbal mixture over
a piece of gauze, cotton or muslin that is large enough for
the affected area. Clean the affected area before placing
the poultice on it, and wrap the poultice with a towel or
plastic wrap and secure it into place. Keep the poultice on
for anywhere from 1 to 24 hours depending applying a fresh
poultice as needed.
Fresh Herb Poultice
Chop up about 1/2 cup of the
fresh herb and mix with 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Simmer
herbs and water for about 2 minutes. Squeeze out excess
moisture, but don't drain. Spread the herbal mixture over a
piece of gauze, cotton or muslin that is large enough for
the affected area. Clean the affected area before placing
the poultice on it. Wrap the poultice with a towel or
plastic wrap and secure it into place.
Keep the poultice on for anywhere from 1 to 24 hours
depending applying a fresh poultice as needed.
Once the abscess has burst and pus has drained off, apply
a poultice of comfrey leaves or root.
Dr. Mom the Kitchen:
