Glossary of Terms

· ATT - AromaTouch Technique - a specific approach to applying essential oils and blends coupled with massage techniques to the spinal column

· Capsules - or gel caps. these may be used to take oils and blends internally.

· Carrier Oil - an oil used to mix with essential oils or blends to facilitate massage or to dilute oils for sensitive skin

· Dr. Mom Kit - A collection of essential oils and blends prepared by doTerra Company for addressing the everyday needs of an individual or family

· Efficacy - the capacity or power to produce a desired effect. Efficacious - has the qualities to produce the desired effect.

· EO - essential oil(s)

· EVCO - Extra Virgin Coconut Oil - a popular carrier oil

· FCO - Fractionated Coconut Oil - A processed coconut oil that is liquid at room temperatures commonly used as a carrier oil

· FM Assist - A dietary supplemental product from doTerra company described in this way, "FM Assist® is an all-natural dietary supplement containing a fast-acting blend of therapeutic-grade essential oils especially blended for temporary relief of the unpleasantness many women suffer from associated with their menstrual cycles."

· GRAS - Generally Regarded As Safe - an approval given by the FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration) that a product is safe for internal consumption

· HERXHEIMER reaction - this occurs when large quantities of toxins are released into the body with a cleanse or using antibacterial oils as spirochetes bacterium die off. The release of toxins may be faster than the body can remove them and result in fever, chills, headache, rash or other skin disorders.

· Hill, Dr. David - David Hill, DC Chief Medical Advisor Chairman, Scientific Advisory Board of dōTERRA company

· LLW - Life Long Wellness - or Life Long Wellness Pack is a specific set of nutritional supplements done by the dōTERRA company that has been upgraded and is called LLV. For more details click here.

· LLV - Life Long Vitality - or Life Long Vitality Pack is a specific set of nutritional supplements done by the dōTERRA company that replace their previous product LLW. For more details click here.

· MJ Assist - A dietary supplemental product from doTerra company described in this way, "MJ Assist® is an all-natural alternative for temporary easing of muscle and joint discomfort. MJ Assist's fast-acting formula is made with safe and gentle therapeutic-grade essential oils that support your body's response to physical activity without harmful side effects."

· neat - the term used to describe applying essential oils or blends directly without any dilution with a carrier oil, etc.

· nasal irrigation - breathing a liquid into one nostril and out the other, usually with oils to help sinus problems or allergies. It is assisted using a device called a Neti pot.

· oil pulling - swishing a mouthful of essential oil mixed with a carrier in the mouth and forcing it between the teeth for a period of time.

· PB Assist - A product of doTerra company described in this way, "PB Assist® is a potent blend of friendly probiotic microorganisms guaranteed to provide a minimum of 1 billion CFUs (colony-forming units) of live bacteria per dose. · Spritz - a specific technique for applying essential oils by mixing with pure water and applying with a spray bottle

· Skin Test - A specific technique to determine skin sensitivity to essential oils
