Healing the Soul with essential oils
In the EverythingDoTerra chat group the following discussion highlighted the extraordinary power of essential oils to touch people's lives beyond physical or emotional issues they may be dealing with. I thought others might enjoy sharing in these insights.
Tamalu - Several months ago, I attended a Dr Hill event and we were passing oils around. I was pouring them on and in myself as they came to me. There was a lovely woman behind me whom I noticed watching me closely. After quite some time, Justin called me out into the hall to tell me something, and this woman followed. She explained that she had a hiatal hernia and after putting OnGuard in her mouth "just like you did" was having a severe attack. She then admitted to me that she thought there was some emotional root to her problem. Many people don't want to go there, and won't go there. This woman was ready for the full-out explanation. Are you?
OnGuard is a protective, defensive blend. It has been shown to encapsulate pathogens and toxins. Clove by itself has been used for asbestos abatement (seriously-- google it!) But toxic emotions can be just as much a danger to the body/mind/spirit. In the case of hiatal hernia, it deals with spleen and how we perceive ourselves. This woman, just that day, had dissolved a business partnership she felt she should have been able to keep together. Was she under attack from within? Never before doTERRA had I seen this blend of oils with high enough quality to deal with that kind of issue, encapsulate emotional pathogens. I was excited. But it was uncomfortable and distressing to her.
So I got the frankincense (protective emotionally, mentally, and spiritually) and allowed her to put it in her own hand, to be placed wherever she felt the need. Less than ten seconds later, she was breathing freely, feeling at peace, and having had an experience.
The other thing I learned that night was that this woman had purchased The Apothecary, 30 oils valued at nearly $800, 4 months earlier and put them in her emergency storage! She had no idea what to do with them in an emergency, but she had them! I'm pretty sure she knows at least one use for each of those two oils now.
Long story, but maybe it will be helpful to someone in future.
Deb - This is interesting information given a scenario that just surfaced yesterday. My sister- in- law just got test results showing a mass on her spleen, and spots on other organs. Presently, they are biopsying. She just purchased oils yesterday with hope and faith. She spent quite a while on the phone telling me about her illnesses through the years and how every doctor thus far had never found anything significant, only told her the root of her problems was stress. It sounds like you might really have some answers to help her so am hoping we can revisit this conversation when the final lab work comes back. Meanwhile, I sent her your email. We're open to anything anyone might suggest. Thanks.
Jan - And you are so right on this concern...We often look to understand physical reasons for reactions to essential oils. Often the reactions are spiritual, emotional or physiological, yet they reveal themselves in physical ways. You are right Tamalu... the question for your friend, Joni, might be what are you trying to protect yourself from. Or what are you so defensive about?
Julia - I've been reading about Biblical uses for essential oils, and have been learning about how oils have been used anciently to heal "soul" issues. Many times, soul issues will manifest in the body as illness, and can be treated with the proper essential oil. Yeah. I love my oils. All this stuff is ancient knowledge, and now its being given back to us. I'm in awe!
